Public Policy Update: April 2009

The Home Builders Association of Massachusetts (HBAM) engages in routine outreach to legislative, regulatory and judicial officials to ensure that Massachusetts continues to support the home building and remodeling industries. The following is a summary of some of the initiatives currently underway.

HBAM Membership Scam Alert!

Members are urged to discard notices of a $75 or $125 dues payment due for a national builders directory membership. Members may receive a letter that requests a "dues payment" to be sent to the National Directory of Home Builders in Stoughton, Mass. The letter's enveloped is marked "Membership Renewal."
